Don't be fooled. In the eyes of Christofascists queer people can never win. No matter how tepid our existence, it can never be diluted enough. Even if we were to water it down so thoroughly that queer people vanish from public life altogether, and consign ourselves to the demimonde, as we huddle together hoping against hope that they might one day have need again for our flair or our bodies, whether by whim or mood or twisted logic, they would still find some cause to annihilate us.
